windows vista?

ok, i was gone all summer. now that i'm back i keep hearing about this WIndows Vista thing. I took a look at M$ marketing-speak and it looks more like Windows XP 2nd Edition, not Longhorn. Is this the case? M$ can't get Longhorn out the door so it's shining up XP and rereleasing it? Or am I completely wrong?

No it doesn't, they should have kept the longhorn name, just as Intel should have kept the name Merced for his IA64 cpu.

I don't think the original name would have helped the IA64 anyways

I'm 3/4 linux now. I don't see going back to ms fully.
