Wish this were 1998!

With a CAK38 and Delta 7000rpm black label i managed to get a K6-2 450 to 650MHz today with 3.1v (bored and found some old hardware in dads attic). Too bad a simple Duron @ 500 would decimate it :D

Poses another little tidbit, why did they not make such sinks and fans back then? if not only for the specalist crowd. :smoke:

Because back then, the chip to have was the K6-2 or the PII. Those didn't get all that hot.

I know, but my point is they coulda made a bundle in the OC crowd selling major copper and CFMage, i'm sure no socket 7 sink i ever had could stand this output.

650MHz is fucking good for a K6-2 450MHz on air. You would have been chairman of the K6-2@600MHz club, back in the day. ;)

Its completed 24hrs P95  Wish the dumb mobo had temp sensors. Next project :Celeron 333 overclockin, ahhhh the nostalgia :blech: Next after that is a PIV Nwood 1.6A (literally first batch) that i'm gonna build OC and give to my dads friends' kid :D
