Now look at the leadership qualities on display here.

Editor's note: The following is the complete list of how senators voted today, July 14, 2004, on a cloture motion to bring the Federal Marriage Amendment to the full Senate floor. The measure failed 50-48, with 2 senators, John Kerry and John Edwards, not voting.

Removing yourself from the issue...perhaps they don't think that it's as important as...the war or the economy. Or...they don't want to be pigeon-holed early in the race.

Upon further reflection of Bish's response I have to question the integrity of the running mates from the donkeys side of the aisle.

Pigeonhole? How can one be pigeonholed by true & absolute beliefs? If they hold them then defend them if need be. That's hardly a bad spot to be, in defense of what you believe to be true.

Who'da thunk it?

They're not sure what they believe yet. No reliable poll numbers.

Wait, wouldn't these be the same polls that told us Howard Dean was a foregone conclusion? :D

Kerry is now, officially, head wuss

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - John Kerry asked Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday to introduce her husband, former President Clinton, on the first night of the Democratic National Convention, ending an intense lobbying campaign by the New York senator's backers angered by her non-speaking role.

The Kerry campaign unveiled its first set of speakers for the convention early this week, including former Presidents Clinton and Carter, Al Gore and others, but the absence of the former first lady drew criticism from Democrats, particularly women. She was to appear on stage with other female senators.
