most places are free here... you get the odd place that charges - mainly at the big railway stations it seems. the ones that charge have always been dead nice inside too. i always got the impression it was a token charge that meant they could put gates on the things and stop tramps sleeping...

i quite like the jar... i had this big-ass chupa chups tin that i'd been putting the pennies in for years, it was about 3/4 full and at a guess probably weighed 25 kilos (which is apparently 55 pounds) it was great... the history, the tin, the sheer volume... beautiful... but then i moved...

40gb transfer... like, each image takes up a few kilobytes, and the text takes up a few more, and every time you load a page it's got to send those pictures and text to you... make it 150-odd kilobytes for every page you look at. 40 gigabytes is the maximum amount of data that can be sent...
