    Afganistan and Global Warming

I read a story about how global warming caused a big chunk of Antarctica to break off and float away due to temperature increases. That part of Antarctica, which made up about 10% or so of the mass, experienced a 2° increase in temperature over recent years. Funny thing is, the other 90% or...

    The way Justice should be

I like something the Romans did. They commissioned this guy to build this big bull made of brass or some other gold colored metal. Throw the condemned in there, and light a fire underneath. Shove straws up the bull's nostrils which turn the poor bastard's screams (or music as the emperor called...

    Another appaling suit...

That's really horrible. I've always felt that if you break the law, you should have your rights as a citizen taken away... maybe not for speeding in your car or jay walking, but for something bad enough to land you on deathrow? Wah! I'm just cryin' for 'em! I have no A/C and during the summer...

A great way to make big $$$

Although... it is, to say the least, an interesting point he brings up about it not appearing as if it were a plane: Attachment(s): untitled2.jpg, 18.27kb

A great way to make big $$$

Why would they fake a plane crash into the Pentagon? And like the man said, what ever happened to flight 77 and the people onboard? These conspiracy theorists really get me sometimes. No doubt it goes on (remember the trial of Ollie North?), but not to these extremes I'm sure (fake...

it´s too bad i quit drinking

We've been breaking 100° F (38° C) pretty regular here in Utah... with the hottest days yet to come in July! And my *$#@!'ing house doesn't have any air conditioning! At least it's dry desert heat. Oh, BTW, it's good that you don't drink 'cause booze dehydrates you! Just have some good ol'...

    Ñïàñèáî çà âàøå ïèñüìî

wow ris! I'm impressed! It was sent to me via an autoresponder from somebody in Uganda, so I kept trying to translate it from Lugandan. You are quite resourceful!

    Be nice to naked people!

freako104, I'm reminded of all the vets out there complaining about flag burning. "We fought for that flag!" Wrong! You fought for what the flag stands for... in other words, you fought so that people would have the right burn the flag. Don't get me wrong, I'm as much of a patriot as the next...

meeting people that you met over the net

Y'all remember Jeffy79 from HWC, eh? I know alot of people think he's a psycho, but I talked to him on the phone a few times. That was a couple years ago... don't know what happened to him. Aside from that, I met a girl in a chat room about 4 years ago and set her up with my friend as a joke...

    Dvorak keyboard

The Dvorak layout is also much better for one-handed typing. It's not unusual to be able to type 70wpm with one hand on those suckers. And yes, typing on a Dvorak is much faster. Once you get used to it, you should be able to double your wpm compared with a qwerty.

    Be nice to naked people!

Seriously... this guy doesn't have a problem with nudity, that's why he's at the beach in the first place! He likes looking at naked women just as much as the next guy, but he's got an image to maintain so he pretends that he's against it while he sits out there and checks out all the naked chics.

    I Need An Estimate™

ZX-6R is a nice bike. Kawasaki knows how to make 'em. Have you guys forgotten? I remember a thread a year or two ago at HWC where somebody asked what everybody's occupation was... Toolbox's occupation is the only one I remember: Former mobster! It inspired me to start a mob of my own...

Hydrogen Puts Iceland on Road to Oil-Free Future

Several years ago the US enstated a law that will require a certain # of cars sold in the US to have 0 emissions. I believe that law goes into affect in 2003(?) and the percentage increases each year. Looking back on American history, they had electric cars racing against internal combustion...

    Who remembers these shows?

Glad to see somebody got Buck Rogers and Battle Star Galactica :cylon: Did you know that the creator of Battle Star Galactica was Mormon, and many of the themes were based on Mormon belief? I know... Mormons are weird. The computer generated guy with the Tinkerbell-esque assistant was...

    Nothing but a number

Since everybody is saying how old they'll be at their next birthday (I know, some of us have a hard time adding one) I'll be 29 sometime next year... and I'll still be gettin' carded for buying bullets! :D Makes me feel good to know I can still occasionally pass as a minor.
