I know a gentleman in BC who has three of them. He fires one up in his driveway on occasion ... and he's getting pretty familiar with the police officer they keep sending to talk to him about it.

I know a guy that has one of the Packard blueprint copies (built for a P-51 mustang but his was never in a plane) of the Merlin. He's also got a left-hand Allison V-1710 out of a P-38. He talks about putting one or the other in a car but I doubt he ever will. I think the Allison turns the wrong way anyway if I'm not mistaken. He does drive a '51 Merc with a 427 Nascar engine though.
