We all claim to want more truth in government. Let's watch this carry out & see what happens when truth in government is applied.

MOSCOW, Sept. 5 -- The Russian government admitted Sunday that it lied to its people about the scale of the hostage crisis that ended with more than 300 children, parents and teachers dead in southern Russia, making an extraordinary admission through state television after days of withering criticism from citizens.

Washington Post

There will be a huge mess over this & the only thing learned will be, don't admit to fabrications.

well, hopefully there will be a big fuss about this. and hopefully it will ensure that the russian government will take a second look at their current anti-terrorism policies. some errors just couldn't be prevented in this situation, while other could have. having a critical look at ones action might actually cause improvement.

you'd prefer the government to keep on lying and act like everything went well? can you imagine the mess over THAT?
"sorry, we killed 300+ people, but everything went well. there were no errors."
maybe you'd buy that shit, but i'm quite sure none of the (ex) parents would.
