Long live Rock[/the Who]

You know, I can't tell you how many times in my life rock has died.

Goddam kids and their goddam *insert ethnic slur here* music!!!!!!!!!!

It's all about the 18-34 demographic, Gonz, and you and I are no longer part of it.

Rock, not dance music, is dead. You'll not find Johnny B Goode or Journey to the Center of the Mind or even Whip It in this stuff. The roots have been cut off.

"Turning Japanese I think I'm turning Japanese I really think so..."

The 80s produced some of the most horrid music ever. Seriously.

As for me? I'll take my heavy metal.

The 80s was the Metal decade...we killed Disco and New Wave. :headbang:

Then that loser started wearing plaid shirts & whining about life. Then he married a schizoid & took his own life. Why didn't he take hers too? That's when metal died.

There is some really great modern metal, but it might be harder than your early metal tastes would like. It took some getting use to even for myself.
