A sad day indeed

I knew I was musically "old" fifteen years ago. Going to a KISS concert, talking to some other fans, and being told that they had never seen an LP played. Ever. I instantly bought another beer and let my youth die.

On a bulletin board, isn't the use of IMO (or similar reference) redundant?

HOw many of those non-LP seeing folks ever saw a reel to reel?

I'm 25 and I own a record player. And records. I've seen 8-track players in action. I don't own an reel-to-reel, but have seen one in action. Plus DAT and minidisc.

My grandparents had an open-reel player/recorder... it was an Akai all-in-one unit that could work with cassettes and 8-tracks too. It even had its own speakers, although it was always hooked into the Fisher receiver (with an FM tuner but no AM... cost a pretty penny in 1968).

I'm 24 and I own a record player... and records.

I once listened to a Grateful dead open reel tape on a $1,000 headpphone system.
