I just set up a new system using an Asus A78NX-E De Luxe Mobo with on board Realtek AC97 6-channel sound card. I don't have a complete set of speakers yet, so I'm using the old Crative speaker set the came with my SoundBlaster AWE64 temporarily. Question is, no matter what I do I'm not able to get at least stereo sound from this. It seems to mix the two channels in one and send to both speakers equally. (Ex. if I cut 1 channel it cuts by half the volume in both speakers). It does the same for the speakers and two headphone sets I have. Whether I use the front case headphone jack or the back panel one. Don't know what I'm missing here...
