would being on the next ballot be signature based or is there a 'must have a percentage of the vote' rule?

I also have wondered what would have happened if Ross Perot has stayed in the race from beginning to end in 1992. It was a virtual 3 way tie when he dropped out the first time.
I'm voting Bull Moose in 2008. Or maybe Whig, I haven't decided.

rrfield said:I know McCain's a Republican, that's what I'm sayingHe's pretty close to the center, Bayh and Lieberman are close to the center...I don't see why there isn't a moderate party made of individuals like these three. I bet they could get 40% of the vote.

McCain has gained a huge amount of support/respect since his loss in 2000 and Powell has always had heavy support on both sides of the isle. Sometimes i wonder about the intelligence of the house/senate. These guys might not have had the support of of the drug manufacturers but they would have had the support of the people.
