Sure, she could lose. She could also win. I think you underestimate the bubba vote, and the even bigger closeted Bubba vote. OTOH, I don't think that's as entrenched as chcr thinks it is. I think she could give any Republican out there a run for his money, though, and that's what they'll be looking for.

I think a lot more people make the appropriate noises when necessary than would actually vote that way when push comes to shove. Understand that I would have no problem voting for a woman (other than this one, anyway :D ) but I really think the country as a whole is a lot more backward than you think. Think about how many states still debate teaching biblical creation as science on an almost daily basis, for instance.

he is a republican but from his speeches he seems kinda liberal. I would vote for him if he ran
