advantages to not pretending women are as strong as men

Sure it might have been. Wish in one hand and shit in the other. Which hand has something in it. I always love you self-righteous, after-the-fact whiners. Using a tragedy to justify some half baked idea that popped into an empty head.

And how is he different from you self-indignant, before-the-fact whiners that put people in jeopardy by loosening the standards enough to let that woman be put in harms way in the first place? Some women could escort said linebacker, but she obviously couldn't. This should have been addressed from the start. It's okay to be PC, but it's not okay to let PC over-ride basic intelligence. ;)

As I said earlier, the deciding factor was bad judgement, not her strength or lack thereof. My response was to the whole "see what happens" mentality. Thousands of prisoners all over the country are escorted by men and women to and from court. The bad judgement displayed in this one specific case is hardly a reason to scrap the whole system is it?

Edit: I guess the smug 20/20 hindsight just annoys me.

When we use our foresight you seem to get your panties in a bunch too.

I wholeheartedly agree, with a caveat. What happened to having a standard that everybody had to pass to do a job that may require 'getting physical' with somebody in the course of their duty? ;)

Remember when the military had standards? Back before the great experiment.
