I had too much meds trying to get rid of this headache today ... all I can think of is going home and popping "The Wall" into the DVD player ... groovy

*sings to self and looks for my son so he can drive my sorry overmedicated ass home*

.... mother do you think they'll drop the bomb ....
mother, do you think they'll like this song ....

Creepy. Thats the Floyd song that I put in my high school yearbook as my all time favorite.

I wish I could join you.. but noise is still an aggravator of my own lingering headaches. : /

I've watched it twice, first time sober, didn't care for it much, second time had some killer greenbud, GREAT MOVIE!!!!!

and night after night
we pretend is alright
that i have grown older
and you have grown colder
and nothing is very much fun...anymore

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then the one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older
And shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation in the English way
The time is gone the song is over, thought I'd something more to say.

I still haven't seen that movie sober. It's been a long time since I saw it.

Isn't it amazing that people of all generations discover them in their teens and discover the movie and just the whole coolness of them? I was too young for the Wall or Dark Side but became interested just in time for Momentary Lapse and later, the Division Bell. But they always give the people what they want at concerts--all the old stuff. :)

I couldn't watch the movie *sniff* ... first, because I passed out as soon as I got home .. and second, because I left it at a friend's house :(

Love Pink Floyd, bought The Wall DVD couple of months back cause it was really cheap. I couldn't watch the whole thing. It just didn't crank my tractor :(

that's cause you were probably sober, alex ... you have to be good and trippin' to appreciate The Wall :headbang:
