i think they do. if not more. there are humans who abandon their young whereas some animals wont abandon their young at all. also animals dont send giant penises into other countries. they kill only to survive. humans kill en masse for survival or money. usually the latter

I personally don't think there is any comparison between the two. Human love is superior to that of an animals.

Basically, this is an apples to oranges comparason. Animals have a far lower IQ than humans, so their ability to assess a situation and compare possible outcomes is limited. In your example of the lion abandoning her cubs to the pack of hyenas. The lion knew the hyenas could and would kill her and the cubs had she stayed. She made the wisest decision she could have, given the circumstances.
I don't know where throwing drugs into the mix came from, but that's about the stupidest example I ever heard. Animals don't seek and use drugs left to their own devices. They were given the drugs as part of a study. So you alter their reality, dull their instincts and then say look at what bad animals they've become? That's fucking retarded.
I think animals ARE capable of love....but factoring in the lower IQ and different instinct priorities, a comprason to humans is ridiculous.
