an innocent photo?

In my family, we have pictures of us as babies lying around naked or pictures of us swimming as infants naked.

My daughter was lying in bed the other day after her bath, and I was thinking about snapping a shot of her with all her cutie baby fat.

Would that be considered child porn these days

nah, if i remember correctly, there are two types of nudity: artistical and pornographic.

the difference stands where you cross the line between sexual insinuation and just possing relaxed, or in a non provocative way.

if somebody is sick enough to get excited by a nude baby, then it doesn't mean the photo is pornographic, it just means that he/she is sick.

Good plan. I've been wanting to get a few pictures of Anna's fashion choices to blackmail her with when she's older. The black boots with the capri pants was going to be a great pic, but Jan talked her into wearing sandals before I could get the picture. :grumpy:

I work in the same building as a preschool ... you can totally tell when parents let their kids dress themselves!! It's so cute.

Recently there was a couple that got in trouble for photographing their daughter or something. I would say in the US you had better watch out!

She's not in the U.S.

Good kuu.... niiiice kuu... that's it... *pets the kuu kitty that turns into a rabid tiger when people say Hawaii is a part of the US* *backs away softly*[/siz]

We found my grandmother's picture of when she was a baby naked when we sorted through her stuff for her move. Why she kept it for 80 years is the real mystery. :confuse3:

DO NOT put it on the net. The laws regarding that are getting draconian.

For example, did you know that there's a North Carolina law requiring IT professionals to report any suspicion of child porn stored on employees' laptops and desktops (according to my IT manager at work)? That means I could be investigated for having a naked shot of my 1 YO son stored on my hard drive.

Be careful.

Or safer still, don't keep the picture in digital format at all, stick to the old fashioned photo album

Thanks for the warning!

Geez ... the sickos of the world ruin it for the rest of us. Something as natural and innocent as a nude baby shouldn't be sick and perverted.

*cursing all the sickos to hell*

Yeah it's pathetic that because of some sicko's you can't even post these kind of pictures anymore..:(

I wouldn't post my nekkid babyphoto's on this board either, even if it was allowed

I think the current US law states that any photo of someone under 16 showing anything below the collarbone in kiddie porn... regardless of clothing or not. Its one of those over the top pure subjective things that can be used arbitrarily by the feds... if you give them half a reason.

OMG! That is a BIT over the edge!

Around here they're not so difficult about family photo's of little babies on the Internet.
But if it is absolutely obvious that they are posted for other, more sick reasons, people risk higher punishments than somebody who killed his wife!

Strange sense of justice around here. Way too soft.
