I was getting there... but backed down in time to sober up for the journey home. It messed with my sleep a bit as I was getting up every 45 min to slug back a pint of water. I just hate day after dehydration.

I have a "don't drink when you're down" policy. It prevents you from getting in to addiction. I used to drink hard in the past but can count in my right hand fingers the times I've got hangovers...
