i know here are
- born in mexican territory
- born within a mexican ship,airplane
- parents have the citizenship, no matter where you were born.

I think green cards just let you work here Freak, they don't have anything to do with citizenship.

No, you have to live in the US as a permanant resident (with a green card) for 5 years before you can even apply to become a citizen.

ROFLMAO.

OMG, ok, ok, Don't do that Greenie, now my boss is looking at me funny again. Ok, Still.

Yes, that counts as the right to be mexican if you weren't born mexican;)

- By obtaining the naturalization card from the Relations Secretary.
- By marriage with a mexican, establishing their residency in mexican territory.

Glad I could help. :D

Should we call him Claire from now on? Half the people here probably don't know what I'm referring to with that line anyway. ;)

Certainly not if they weren't around in the late 80's.

So, Claire, are you going to answer or continue to ignore?

Who is gonna believe him if he says he's an American citizen anyway? NOT ME!!!

Shit, back from class and this thread goes to hell. Bah.

Now as to your questoin, when a parent obtains citizenship (my dad has dual citizenship), the dependent children under 18 can automatically get citizenship if so requested.

So then you've never lived in the US?
I have, but not too long. I haven't exactly spend a lot of time in any one country in particular. :eh:

And what is this Claire thing... It sounds um, ridiculous.

Oh, the Claire thing is ridiculous. It is. Although somehow it fits you quite nicely, and no, it has nothing to do with your sexuality.
