Beer: What makes a good one, or a bad one?

$10 in gas just to get booze?! Holy man, do you live in the middle of nowhere?!

No, he's a big boy driving a big car. It costs him half a buck of gas jsut to start that boat. Another half just to get to the end of the driveway.

No point wasting time. Every step into the light is just one more step we have to take dragging you back.

Naw. Once upon a time, maybe. Now I'd just pull out the binoculars and watch you jiggle as you run. You'd tire out and come home sooner or later.

hmmm. well thar's nothing in my fridge but the proto-wife will be home with a sixer soon. probably either fat tire (fort collins, CO) or mirror pond (somewhere, oregon). best out here is mac and jack's african amber, brewed in redmond, WA, home of microsoft.

i've found lately that - and this is disturbing - i can only drink one or two highly hopped beers without getting a headache. which sucks. i've been swooning wheat beer a lot lately, because i don't get a headache, at all, no matter how many i guzzle. BTW folks wheat beers are much better WITHOUT the stupid lemon.

What? No Henry's? I remember drinking Weinhardts Premium when I was at McChord...before the Oly buyout. Has the taste changed that much?

must have. it's okay but it's kinda watery for a (relatviely) small brewer. sorta like "microbrew lite."

No, just the opposite - getting out of, or anywhere through, downtown Indianapolis is like stop & go for about a half an hour, then another half an hour to get where you actually want to go. That's hell on any gas tank. Besides, it's not like $10 in gas is that much anymore, at $3.20 a gallon
