I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand I agree with the groups that want the info the govt has on them. On the other, I don't think the govt should have to release it, particularly if there is some evidence to suggest that further monitoring is necessary.

Change your last sentance to read ...only if there is substantial evidence to suggest that further monitoring is necessary...and I would agree.

Aye true. So tell me though, who decides if there is "substantial evidence"?
 
Yeah, that's the problem...if the gov't gets to decide, they could say about anything is substantial evidence...if someone else has to decide, well that kind of blows keeping the info confidential, huh?

Shoot 'em all and let God sort it out.
