No, the point still stands. There is war among Islamics, be peaceful and tolerant or blow-shit-up. Seems the blow-shit-up faction is winning this internal war.
Until the peaceful faction makes an effort to make peaceful the defacto state I don;t think we should open ourselves to the blow-shit-up crowd. -- You keep saying the vast majority of Islam is peaceful and tolerant but you haven't been able to demonstrate this in the Islamic nations -- can it really be that hard?

The vast majority of Muslims in the US have been peaceful through US history.
Seems like it should be pretty obvious to you that the vast majority of Muslims all over the world are peaceful people going about their day and feeding their families. It's not like billions of of them are just committing violence constantly.

Not exactly, and I don't think most Islamic act in violence. I simply feel they are complacent with the violence and even secretly support it. -- What I do see are daily headlines of Islamic violence and very few article or effort to put an end to the violence.
I suppose it will be very easy for you to demonstrate vastly larger numbers of Islamic players working to curtail the violence among their fellows? -- big rallies, loud voices of opposition, peaceful fatwas.

I do believe that most Right-Wing Christians are xenophobes (in the sense that they fear any belief different from their own) but do not realize it, or have trouble admitting it. The mosque in NYC is one very good example. The people who are protesting it do not understand that by blocking the renovation of this building to repurpose it for a Muslim community center and mosque is putting a nail in their own coffin. It makes protesting any Christian organization fair turn around. They've opened a can of worms.
