Hmm... So the insurance companies and the church went head to head. Insurance won. Not really surprised.

With that ruling, they can, henceforth, require that churches perform homosexual marriages.

See how this works.

And next, they'll be required to accept gay priests, even tho, their job is to preach from a book that says you should stone gays.

Pack up the planet, and RMA it. It's broke good now.

Actually, the seperation of church and state forbids the government from interfering in internal church affairs. Since insurance affects the general public, and all other employers must use the same types of coverage that one ruling is actually covered in the constitution.

Each company may write an independent & seperate insurance policy, strictly towards their needs & wants.

Well, that's how it used to work.

Nah, it's just insurance companies trying not to pay for babies. Pills are cheaper than babies, that's what it boils down to.

Actually...it says that "...it is an abomination.". Nothing about stoning them. on the other hand...people who wear clothing made from different fabrics (Polyester/cotton blends) must be stoned to death as well as people who work on Sundays.

Ya know...Priests work on Sundays. Isn't that against the "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy", restriction as well? I wonder if priests are excempted from that one....

Psst...they do accept gay priests.

Read what caused my thread on personal responsibility, and you'll understand that individual companies can no longer have carte blanch with their insurance bargaining now...

I tried Gato. It drives me into a homicidal rage so it's better to quit reading long about
America’s obesity problem lies not with obese Americans, but with food manufacturers and marketers, and with an aloof federal government.

Only when said interfernce is for medical reasons...

Here's my take on the issue. If they only employ catholics, it's not really an issue, is it? If they employ non-catholics, I think they need to allow them to follow their own faiths and not interfere.

I could have sworn the sabbath was Saturday.

depends on who you talk to.... Church is on the Sabbath...Church is on Sunday.

For Jews Sabbath is Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, non?

For Seventh-day Adventists..it's Saturday? or was that Friday?

Why is Sunday part of the weekend if it's actually the week-beginning?
