Eartha Kitt. :rip:

Imagine, from slavery to stardom in one lifetime.

Kitt, a sultry singer, dancer and actress who rose from South Carolina cotton fields to become an international symbol of elegance and sensuality,

Hmmm, I though slavery was over & dead by 1927. By those rules, I can honestly say than my mom rose from the cottonfields of Mississippi.

Stupid journalists

Don't you love how they word things to imply a certain meaning to the reader? Just because she was born on a cotton plantation... :alienhuh:

being a poor farmer from the south does not automatically make someone a slave. if it does, i know a few personally

You know, there was this whole singing thing, aside form being a guest star on what was probably the cheesiest show in the history of TV. :grinyes:

Oh, yea, like you wouldn't have asked her to wear her Catwoman suit in the boudoir
