Change, you say?

well, now all he has to do is stare at a upside-down children's book for seven minutes during a massive terrorist attack, and he'll be right into the old bush pattern.

Funny you should mention goats. The upsidedown book was an urban legand, but O'Bummer lying about his goat-herding father was not:

Obama stated in his Convention speech: 'My father ... grew up herding goats.' The 'goat herder' claim has been repeated endlessly. It is a lie. Fact: Obama's grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama was a prominent and wealthy farmer. His son, Obama's father, was a child of privilege, not privation. He was an outstanding student, not a herdsman.

Well. I guess this is change you can believe in. You think the changed photo was the real one.

SOURCE: http://www.snopes.com/photos/politics/bushbook.asp

The photoshopped version of the AP photo:

http://www.snopes.com/photos/politics/graphics/bushbook.jpg

First clue its fake: Note that the image on the front of the book was rotated on the Z axis while the image on the back of the book was flipped on the Y axis.

The real photo taken by AP:

I always find it interesting how so many self-righteous asshats find it necessary to string together multiple posts, don't you?

I love snopes. :D

I've got a friend that sends forwarded emails all the time. I reply-all with the correction each time. She finally learned to blind copy me, but I know the friends she sends these out to and I just insert their emails into the To: line anyway.

Love her much but she is gullible!

There's big frowny faces instead of the pictures you were trying to show.

Not that anybody needed to see the pictures anyway.

Yes, it's pretty hard for the person posting them to realize they're not showing up sometimes.

Hey, at least there's not a picture of some guy holding his asshole open with his hands, like I've seen some people replace hotlinked pictures with.

Sorry. I fixed the links so they are just links. I didn't know that they did what was described; and I still haven't seen what then rest of you saw.

The fact is that the upside down book fallacy is an urban legend that is still believed and touted by brainless Bush haters. The biggest clue is that the image from the back of the book is flipped top to bottom placing the former side that was at the edge of the book now facing the spine of the book. Whoever did the photoshopping wasn't very good at it; but that never stops the Bush haters from having a good lie to participate in.
