I heard about the attack last night - rarely post from home, and you got here first :)

A nice question(s) would be:
Where are they getting this chlorine?
and
Can the source be traced?

*It's pretty ineffective as a weapon though, isn't it?

Nope. I just let it slide for a few days to see if anybody would notice.

Chlorine can be made by mixing bleach with ammonia, so tracing it is kinda pointless.

Chlorine gas is deadly on the battlefield, as no mask can save you. Your only defense is running away from the gas with the wind in your fence for as long as the attack is going on. Since its highly corrosive, its effect on the lungs is quite rapid.
 
They did have a 'truck load' - the purchase of which should have raised a few eyebrows somewhere.
 
I actually missed that one. Trying to stay away from these stories anyway...for a myriad of pointless reasons.
