I dunno minx. I'm guessing the free market can solve the problem whether a business "makes it or breaks it."

In fact I think that is what the free market does.

i've no idea if this is the most recent example however the food rationing that went on during WW2 seems like a fine example.

There's one (and it coincidentally was during a time of war, which I have argued is a time that having certain rights limited is not all bad)
 
It was a much different time, people followed a much stricter moral code and shared a common pride and goals the entire nation was behind.

If only there was some opportunity for Real Americans stand for the American way of life and defend the COTUS against tyranny. If only we had some grave threat against the future of our nation. I bet there would be an upheaval from the people to fight evil, restore sanity and reinvigorate the peoples of these United States as a free nation of We the People for the People.

Yeah, it could happen someday. I wonder what it would take?

Well, we could have followed Wilsons lead..."I will not get us invovled in war". Two weeks later, we were in WW1.
