Clarence Ray Allen

He's 76 today. The supreme court says he's not too old, blind, deaf or wheelchair-bound to be executed.

Here's why I think he should fry:

Allen went to prison for having his teenage son's 17-year-old girlfriend murdered for fear she would tell police about a grocery-store burglary. While behind bars, he tried to have witnesses in the case wiped out, prosecutors said. He was sentenced to death in 1982 for hiring a hit man who killed a witness and two bystanders.
Here's what really pisses me off:

Allen's heart stopped in September, but doctors revived him and returned him to San Quentin Prison's death row.

Saw that and wondered why they wasted the electricity on the paddles to shoot him up with the knockout juice...

But then I remembered this is California were they let murders like OJ Simpson and Robert Blake go free and fine upstanding citizens like Michael Jackson leave the country...

Your state has never lost a case against someone who was probably guilty?

That's because he is protected by the penal system of the socalist republic of california, if he stepped out of the prison it is possible he would catch a bullet or a shive in the ribs...

That one's actually a quirk of the legal system. He was sentenced to death, then one of the liberal courts decided to put the deep six on the death penalty. All death row inmates automatically had their sentences commuted to life. Once the death penalty was reinstated, the stentences couldn't be switched back. Manson isn't the only one still alive because of it, just the most famous.

What's different about the penal system of the socialist republic of your state?

...and as I asked earlier your state has never lost a case against someone who was probably guilty?

in general or in the sense of an extremely high profile case that probably cost taxpayers millions of dollars and that the prosecution, to use a football analogy, fumbled on the one yard line?

In part, yes this is critisism. The reason I mentioned these cases was because they were high profile cases out of California which includes such charubs as Manson and housed Al Copone.

In the case of Simpson the prosecution stated that they had less evidence then what they had in this case and had convictions.

Take a look at Robert Blake, after his wife was murdered in his interview he said he went back into the resturant to retrieve his gun he forgot in the booth. Give me a break, I carry conceiled and the only reason it would leave its "spot" in public is if I was going to use it.

To answer your question, there is no doupt in my mind that the guilty have walked in the state I am living in. There is a county in the last several years has had a revolving door in the jail system beacause of funding issues. School funding has increased but jail funds have stayed or decreased after poverty is claimed.

Either way. If you want to use extremely high profile case then have all extremely high profile cases in other states that cost taxpayers millions resulted in prosecutions?

So if it's not much different in your state maybe you should save your insults?

Why are you insulted by an opinion? This is how all this PC bull crap been coming up the last several years. An opinion is just that an opinion and if you are offended go live in a cave...

I didn't say I was insulted. I said you should save your insults (which usually are opinions). The reason you should save them is not to be PC but because after questioning you it turns out they are unfounded.

So if you want to spout off some negative opinions of yours on the board maybe you should be able to back them up....or save them.

Where's the fun in that? :p

Another case of "if you don't go along with the way I think you are too dumb to think" attitude...

Why don't you go back to your cave and dig the hole deeper for the simple reason NOT everybody sees the world the same as you do. From what you have posted it looks to me that you are a control freek...

Not at all, you can think whatever you want. I am simply suggesting that you should have reasons for thinking the way you do. That way when you post you will be able to back up what you say with those reasons.

Great, usually though people can say why they think the way they do.

I have no desire to control what you do. I'm just making some suggestions that will help to keep you from looking silly.
