Cleaning out your hard-drive...

lol, my niece and nephew decided that they wanted to wash all their CDs
one day. They used an sos pad. Needless to say none of them worked anymore.
 
The hard drive will probably get a little water in it through the vent and it'll probably never dry out inside it; otherwise if you leave the computer off for several days you might have a shot. A lot of people freak out when they drop their cell phones in the water and they try to turn it on right away. That's when the corrosion damage happens and the phone gets messed up. I hear stories all the time of people who drop their phones in the water and leave them off for a few days to dry before they try to power them up again; they work fine.
