The world _ especially the Western United States, the Mediterranean region and Brazil _ will likely suffer more extended droughts, heavy rainfalls and longer heat waves over the next century because of global warming, a new study forecasts.
But the prediction of a future of nasty extreme weather also includes fewer freezes and a longer growing season.

I have no argument with the statement. After all, a blackjack player can tell you the long term odds in betting... but has no clue as to the outcome of the next hand.

Besides, its a safe thing to say as the predictors will be long dead before anyone can call them on it if they're wrong.
 
I predict there'll be one motherfucker of a huricane & a supernasty blizzard sometime between now & 2016.
