Considering satellite for computer

Has Directv enhanced their service. The drawback several years ago was the download was satelite but the uplink was still phone. As long as you're not gaming, it should be more than sufficient.

It's satellite both directions now. I don't know what the speed is.

Basic business w/static ip 1.5 dl - 256k up.
$1000 down, and $100 mo. (I think)

The thing is, the more asp, php, and other script sites, make the upload
more in play.

I hadn't looked at the HughesNet site for several weeks, so I checked it last night. They've lowered the install another $100 ! ! Sending in the rebate will get it down to $299.

Hope Hughes is better about their rebates than Soyo was for my motherboard... 951 days (or so) and counting.
