I'm happy to report that the heatpipe fits OK - the capacitors are placed in such a way that the pipes go around and between them without touching. I haven't fired up yet but will be doing so shortly - I'm on the Tbird.

14 cfm fan - Side closed:

cpu surface 46C
cpu core 52C
29 cfm fan - Side closed
system 41C
cpu surface 44C
cpu core 53C
and with a 92mm fan in the front:
system 40C
cpu surface 43C
cpu core 52C
Anyone got a hacksaw?
I think I'm going to move the HDD to a 5" bay and cut out a hole large enough to take another front fan as a 90mm is tha largest that fits at the moment, but I could get 2x 80mm in there if I modify it.
At least 52 is an improvement on 58 anyway.
