Creating a coo free society

but people sometimes touch or talk about the baby like they would if they were examining tins in a supermarket and that should not happen."

Good rule, hospital.

I seem to recall from my child psych and development training that cooing is a natural step in the process of language formation for infants.

I agree that people should keep their germy hands to themselves while a baby is still in the hospital though. That's just stupidity.

For the one day that they're in there, I think the cooing can safely be left to the parents without a ton of damage.

They ought to be in the mother's rooms anyway.

I don't know what people are thinking running around touching new babies in the first place though. I guess they're just not thinking.

Cooing should be a thing of the past because these are little people with the same rights as you or me.

Really? So he has, for example, the right to choose what he wears at 3 days old? I'm thinking naked and covered in his own fecal matter isn't gonna be good for him long term. Get a clue, ya idiot.

OTOH, if anyone had actually attempted to touch V2.0 at that point, they'd have drawn back a stump.

I love the quotes on the side :)

If a baby I was cooing over asked me to stop because I was infringing on their human rights then I would

Here's a question...aren't the babes behind glass? What in blazes are 'visitors' doing next to the damn cots anyway...especially if it ain't their kid?

Never mind infections and the psychological damage of 'cooing'... what about babynapping?
