for all us brits the queen's golden jubilee is a huge occaision that we will be marking with street parties, flag waving and other marks of respect. ;)

that and the day off we'll get :D

Speaking of flags, our flags are related :D

The eight alternating white, red and blue strips represent the eight major islands of Hawai`i. The British Union Jack represents Hawai`i's historical relationship with Great Britain as it's protectorate
