In any forum, there is always some moderator/adminstrator error, it's simply due to the fact that the mods/admins are human, and cannot be perfect.
While I agree there is some tendency to cut us longstanding members a little more slack, well that's just human nature too, because the mods/admins are familliar with us, and know us, they know, generally speaking, how far we will or won't push it, and our longstanding association with OTC, makes us popular to some, and infamous to others, but all the same we become fixtures here.
It is just the way it is, fair or not that when some new member comes in, they are on a shorter leash till they are established. All the same, I know that these are pretty much good people here who will go a long way out of their way in an effort not to banish someone and I feel confident that none of the mods/admins here enjoy banning anyone, quite the contrary in fact, or so I believe.
Still, Error, given this aprticular situation, I am sure if you give it a little time, relax, take it easy, try not to take things too personally, and be careful to "attack the post, not the poster", you will get out of KK and be just fine, and I certainly hope you will.
On the subject of fairness, if you truly think it's not fair here (believe it or not this is in my opinion one of the most "fairly moderated" boards there is), you should try a sports BBS. Try any of them on scout.com, I was a longstanding member of the Seahawks board there, but it was in the years before the superbowl appearence. They eneded up banning me because of my realistic belief that we were not championship caliber at the time and they said I was "too negative" because I didn't sugar coat everything and believe the Seahawks were on the way to the superbowl every year.
I recently unplugged the modem, got a new IP address, and joined again this year. This year I beleive we have the best team we have ever had, and I was defending them to death after the fiasco in Arizona. I was banned for being too positve and arguing with those who believe the sky is falling, we suck and willl end the year 1-15. So, unplug the modem, renew my IP, and I am on it again, but you better believe, I mostly read and make every effort to just restrain myself whenever I feel an urge to post.
On those scout.com borads, they have for each team a "smacktalk" forum. Supposedly they are vvery loosely moderated, and it's the place for trashtalking and the like. Those are especially pathetic. On the Browns board when we traded for Charlie Frye, the Browns fans were talking all kinds of smack about it, and when Seahawk fans argued with them, we were told, that we have no right to talk smack, but of course Browns fans do. I then posted all the win loss records....Hell I'll just quote myself:
Of course since I originally joined as markjs, I couldn't use any variation of that handle, or else be discovered by the Seahawks board admins. On the Seahawks board bing banned means you cannot even read the forums at all.
Anyway, after posting that, I got abused, by Browns fans, and told that I was using statistics to lie!?! How a win loss record can lie, is beyond me, but furthermore they kept throwing personal insults at me and kept telling me I am a pathetic smacktalker, and repeatedly called me out. When I gave them what they wanted, all within the rules mind you, my post was immediately deleted, and I was banned, as does anyone who even gets close to out smacktalking any Browns fans. Mind you the moderator there that banned me was chief among those breaking site rules by using personal attacks. I admit I was rutheless and vicious, but I did not break a rule, and I kept it to Browns fans and Cleveland in general, and not a personal attack, but I got canned. It's kind of a badge of honor to be banned by another teams for superior smack. Here's how I abused them:
I relaize this post is unbearably long, but the point is, that these places are a privilige, not a right, and as for fairness, OTC is far better than most boards.

mikee19792 said:You know I read back over a now locked thread about Charlie Frye, and it's hilarious to me that Browns fans can get all up in arms because of a Seahawks fan talking smack. I personally like statistics, I know Browns fans have no reason to, but let's just look at the record. First off I am not looking at the Browns before 1976, because the Seahawks did not exist, and very few of you guys who are talking smack about what losers the Seahawks are, were old enough to have been fans back when the Browns had any glory years. (Didn't they use leather helmets back then?).
Seahawks since 1976: 237-248 Playoffs - 6-9
Browns since 1976: 191-242-1 Playoffs - 4-9
Browns vs. Seahawks 4-11
Seahawks vs. Browns 11-4
Conference Championships since 1976:
Seahawks 1 Browns 0
This is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately, league. The average NFL career last's about 3 years. In the last 5 years we have gone 48-30, and 3-4 in playoffs. We lost arguably one of the worst officated games in NFL history, to the Stealers. We have been in the playoffs every year since 2003. Only Philidealphia has won more than we have since we arrived in the NFC.
The Browns in the last 5 years are a glorious 28-53, with one playoff appearance, in 2002, a loss to the hated Stealers.
I read a comment about being "chokers", which is always a weak attempt at talking down someone else's success. He said he'd rather be a loser than a choker....Well that's pretty pathetic, but whatever, you should be happy because currently you are a loser, and will have no chances to choke. I am sure that's a constant source of pride in the Cleveland area; 'we're winners at losing!' Your team has never even won a conference championship, or even appeared in a Super Bowl, so you know what they say about the pot calling the kettle black....Must have choked in those playoff games huh? For 30 years now you been choking, I realize we only have one trophy in the case, but that's one more than your team has in that time.
Who do you think will make the playoffs this year, and who might not? Think hard guys!
When is the last time any quarterback of yours was on the radar at all? Kosar, Sipe?
So, really, who's the losers?
SMACKDOWN! Signed, sealed and delivered!

mikee19792 said:And still Cleveland fans don't get it. I wasn't even really trying to talk smack, just proving, with the truth no less, that you have less room to talk smack than we do, if a franchises success is somehow any part of the smacktalk equation. I have even tried to bring it back around to civility by wishing you well.
Fact is it isn't, anyone can talk smack, but some stupid **** from cleveland was so brilliant to think that our lack of success means no smack for us but your wealth of sucktitude makes you emminently qualified.
You want smack? How bout a city that ******* sucks so bad that a "storied franchise" leaves it?
How about the fact that in the modern age of parity the new expansion Clowns suck far worse than the Seahawks did in their first 8 years back when parity wasnt a word used to describe the league?
How about a city that is the butt of every armpit of the nation joke ever devised?
How about you having some "brilliant defensive mind" jackass of a coach who can't put together a defense when he is seperated from the man who used to think for him, mr. Billy-boy Bellicheat? Does that ******* waste of space have a medical team following his fat ass in case he has a heart attack? Perhaps a police detail to protect him from the mutants, wastoid, morons, derelicts, and losers that make up the "fine people" of the slum that is cleveland?
What the **** is up with it being called the "dog pound", must be another name for the jail in cleveland where most of the residents spend a lot of time in. Or are the people of cleveland really living proof that when your wife lets a saint bernard **** her that offspring are produced?
How about that home of the revolving door loser quarteback school of hard knocks you run out there? Is it a camp on how to survive sacks and interceptions, or is it a football team, nobody actually knows....
How about the tears you'll cry when we walk into your stadium on our second bye week this year and embarress you in our spare time?
How about when Lofa Tatupu tatoos your QB, and he has to come out of the game?
How about a bunch of dumb***** entertaining me over and over with their bitternes over the losing I so thorougly spelled out? How bout feeding the troll....YEEHAW baby, keep it coming!
