I daresay this disc is going to be a serious challenger for BEST DVD - AUDIO in next year's Bitsy awards.

On my "beg, steal, borrow..." list.

"Das Boot" is definitely the best thing to come out of Germany, *ever*... perhaps with the exception of Heidi Klum.

I haven't seen this one although i've glanced at it a thousand times. I'll check it out since you mention it.

Oh, by the way it's 3 1/2 hours long so you might want to allocate a rather large chunk of your life to watch it in.

Beats watching U-571 twice though.

Mother of all submarine flicks and perhaps one of the greatest war films ever, nuff said.

Don't watch it if you are claustrophobic. As someone said on another forum "it's like being trapped in an iron lung for 3 hours".

Cool....I'll check it out....I thought U-571 was weak, Crimson Tide better but not great, and Red October was excellent...for the record
