Don't know whether to laugh, cry or vomit

How about this guy? He doesn't even mention that over 50% of people who die of gunshot wounds are suicides...The first story I couldn't understand. My first question is why the neighbor didn't call the cops the first time she 'witnessed' the crimes going on. My second is why Canadas drug laws are so lax as to allow somebody to grow pot in their basement. The third is how did mom let the step-dad do so much to her child, and the final question is why isn't there a death penalty for this kind of scum?

I thought that was 44% or so. Doesn't alter the point any though.

This is the world we've made. People talk about the billions that'll die in climate change and other bullshit? Not near enough, not soon enough.

What does climate change have to do with it?

Here..try this for a link'd story instead.

PORT-CARTIER, Que. (CP) - A nine-year-old child who was being doused with gasoline at a service station in Port-Cartier, Que., was rescued by two passersby.
Quebec provincial police say the pair pulled the child away from the suspect. A 38-year-old man has been arrested. The man is alleged to have taken the child from an elementary school in Port-Cartier, about 500 kilometres northwest of Quebec City, today after crashing his car into the school's fence.
Police say the boy wasn't injured and are trying to determine the relationship between the boy and the man

The suicide by gunshot vis-a-vis gun deaths is at just over 60%. That alters the equation a good bit when you take the 'murders per 100,000' into account. Gotta love bad statistical analysis...;)

EDMONTON (Sun Media) - Shortly after being removed from her home by social workers and placed in foster care, an allegedly abused four-year-old girl suggested having "sex in the bathtub."

That was the disturbing evidence heard yesterday when the victim's first foster mother took the stand at the Edmonton trial of the girl's mother and stepfather.

Diane LaRose testified she was "quite shocked" when she was giving the child her first bath at her new home and the girl asked her to take off her clothes and get in.

"She told me I was going to be the dad and we were going to have sex in the bathtub," said LaRose, adding the girl also described specific sexual acts they were going to do.

"She told me I would like it and it would feel good."

The veteran foster mother testified the young girl, now five, used the actual word "sex" and said her demeanour and tone of voice was more like an adult than a child.

LaRose also told court the child would dance in an exotic way - lifting up her shirt and showing her breasts - would sing songs with obscene lyrics and would fly into rages where she would swear at her and call her nasty names.

She also described a bed-wetting incident where she went to talk to the child about it and said the girl cowered against the wall and began begging for forgiveness.

"It seemed like she thought I was going to hit her."

On Tuesday, a psychologist testified the girl has been diagnosed as suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and said the child disclosed her stepdad had sexually assaulted her and "mom and dad had sex with her."

Yesterday, a child abuse specialist from the Stollery Children's Hospital testified she found bruises, but no evidence of sexual activity, when she examined the girl.

However, Dr. Melanie Lewis explained that is typical in 95% of cases involving the sexual abuse of children, unless caught within 48 hours, due to their quick healing.

The Court of Queen's Bench trial has earlier heard eyewitness accounts describing the child being handcuffed to a box and made to stand on it, being punched and slapped by her parents and being deprived of water.

One witness testified the girl was always thirsty because she was rationed drinks due to wetting the bed.

The witness said she saw the girl sprayed with a water bottle and taunted with not getting her milk if she didn't eat her food.

The woman said the girl was so desperate for something to drink that she once drank a mixture of Miracle-Gro liquid fertilizer and water, used for the Christmas tree.

There has also been evidence of the girl drinking her own urine, being forced to sit with her stepdad on the couch while he watched porn, and dancing "like a stripper."

The 22-year-old mother and 25-year-old stepfather each face multiple charges, including ones for sexual offences, assault causing bodily harm, pot growing, unlawful confinement and causing a child to need protective services.

They cannot be named to protect the identity of the child.

It gets worse.

Maybe I should have said "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" --- and the fire built with slightly damp wood so it wouldn't burn too fast.

Picture a side of beef on a spit, slowly turning.

Day three

EDMONTON (Sun Media) - An allegedly tortured four-year-old girl was "hysterical" about basements due to being handcuffed by her feet, having soap put in her mouth and forced to have sex.

That is what the trial of the child's mother and stepfather heard yesterday during testimony by a foster mother.

"She was pleading with me to not take her down there," said Diane LaRose, referring to an incident where she was bringing the girl to her basement to do laundry.

"She was very scared," said LaRose. "She would tell me she would have sex in the basement and that was when she would scream and soap was put in her mouth."

The former foster mom testified the Edmonton girl told her she used to be handcuffed to a box she called her "cage".

LaRose said the girl once saw a cat in a carrier and exclaimed the kitty has a cage like hers, "but mine is bigger."

LaRose told court the child disclosed that her stepfather had sex with her and her mother would say it was OK.

"She said if she didn't want to have sex, she would get the soap in the mouth, or if she screamed, her mommy would give her the belt or smack her," said LaRose.

The foster mother testified the girl would always say: "No more foot locks, no more soap in my mouth, no more sex."

On Wednesday, LaRose told court the child used to suggest she join her in the bathtub and have sex.

"She told me I was going to be the dad and we were going to have sex in the bathtub," said LaRose, adding the girl also described specific sexual acts they were going to do.

Court has heard the girl has been diagnosed as suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Why can't these people just be killed now?

No death penalty where they're at. I'm still partial to impaling as a way of execution. Nothing like a sharp stake placed on the rectum, having said violator raised into the air on said stake, and then letting gravity do the rest. :devious:
