well, first of all, there's no comparison between detroit and toronto.

and i'd rather live in the city of detroit than warren. ultra_ick. probably worse now with a lotta angry UAW slugs trolling around.

i'd say the comparison would be more like chicago to some random mid-sized town in ohio, or indiana, except that toronto is far more civilised than chicago in many ways.
