There are only 5,000 of them. When was the last time you read about Sikhs significantly influencing the French Culture? They aren't trying to change anything, they are only fighting for their right to keep their dignity and self-respect. Sikhs are proud people and asking them to part with one of their most pertinent part of their religion just because the French government finds it a suspicious is ludacris.

That is like the French asking you to stop being American on the account that your Americanness worries them and puts them at unease in some ways. To have an "Invisible" American heart......sounds deranged doesn't it?

they arent being forced to no but they are being asked to not follow a tradition. I think ti is also a part of their beliefs. If they do leave they would have a hard time getting a place to live unless they have the money wouldnt they?
