WINDSOR (CP) - It's a new twist on "must see T-V."

A southwestern Ontario woman is in trouble for allegedly driving while watching television.

Officers in Windsor say they spotted a car last night with a T-V monitor in the middle of the dashboard.

Police stopped the vehicle and say they found the driver watching a music video on a portable DVD player.

A 21-year-old Leamington woman was fined 110 dollars after being charged with driving while watching TV.

$110 fine!!!!! How about confiscation and immediate destruction of the player? How about a suspended license?

There are folks out there who can convert my center-dash GPU screen into a fully functional DVD player for under $500. Scary.

Yep, I think just the installation of a front seat dvd should be a felony. There is no reason whatsoever to have one. GPS is one thing, but DVD? Put it in the back seat, entertain the kids, and if you must, go parking and watch a movie in the back seat. I think operating one while driving should be along the same lines as careless and imprudent.
