I gave her a nice sterling silver St. Christopher medal. She said "bdaa mnuh goo hehehe" and drooled. Her mom (my niece) got misty-eyed.

There wasn't enough time to get a bracelet engraved, and the bank said that to buy a savings bond one must apply to the Treasury Dept. and the process takes two to three weeks. Part of the War Against Turrists[sup]TM[/sup], I suppose.

A Prosche Boxter makes a good christening gift.

Yeah I'd buy some sort of keepsake, but not something useless.,,probably jewelry.
