I'm 21 turning 22...I have been working all summer every summer since I was 16...I worked in a factory two summers, an office three summers and an aspahlt testing lab this summer...I also worked part time in a fast food joint my grade 12 year of highschool and in retail for a few months during the christmas season in my grade 13 year...the jobs during the school year were my choice but the summer I turned 16 I was pretty much told by my parents "No more summers sitting on your ass. Get yourself a job and save some money for Univeristy." Obviously I wasn't expected to pay everything but I am really glad they made me get a job and made me learn not only the responsibility of money and saving but the responsibility of holding down a job. The two factory summers and the three office summers were all at the same company and this summer I could have gone back again but decided on a change...I'd hate to be graduating and never having had a job...forget the skimpy resume and lack of references...I'd be missing a lot of knowledge I currently posess...
