2006 blew. But so did 2005 and most of 2004 and the last third of 2003, so....

Kind of a hatrick of suckitude going all the way back to the late 80s, eh?

Not really. Life was pretty good until August 2003. A few unpleasant happenstances, but overall pretty good. Then the bottom fell out, and the bad started outgaining the good. And kept doing it.

But that's gonna change. I think I'm on my way out of all that valley of the shadow of death business for awhile.

The missus, the kids and I all made it through 2006 with the same number of limbs and lives as we started with. Asking for more than that is just being greedy.
