Google street view funny

It gets better. As you get closer to Federal Street and look back, they're either brawling or hugging. As you head up they alley behind them and look back, you can see the looks on their faces, like "dude, is that the Google car?"
 
ink, for reals? i can't navigate google street view very well, can you post screenshots? wannoo see! unless youre kidddingz.
 
Cool, I tried cruising up and down the streets looking at them and one of them is on the ground at one point. Obviously he just was killed.

Also they seem to appear sudddenly, fight, and then disappear. This must have been some sort of epic time-traveling battle for the universe.

Guy with the shield wins.

On the link that was posted, it was zoomed in a bit and you can only move up and down the street when it's zoomed fully out.

The fun part is it's obvious that that block has been driven around twice. The first time, the weather was nicer and there were more cars in the area, but the pictures have less detail. The second time, there are the two guys fighting, it appears to be raining or overcast and the photos have more detail. There are a few spots where they have the old pictures, but most of it is the newer pictures on the rainy day.
 
What does the google car look like? How do they capture such wide range photos?

I've never seen the google cars. But I have seen other mapping vehicles drive through town in the past. I don't remember, but they were either suvs or minivans. And the rig on the roof looked kind of like this, but I don't remember seeing TeleAtlas written on it. So I don't know who they were.

Edit: Or it might have looked like this. I don't remember.

It might have been a parking patrol car. They're doing that here in Calgary. Cars with cameras drive around recording who's parked where and for how long. That way when you exceed the allowed parking time they can give you a ticket.
 
I don't know. I haven't seen them lately. Plus, I know the cops here still use those little three wheeled vehicles and drive down the street, marking tires with orange chalk.

They chalk here too, they don't have enough vehicles to cover the whole city so they cycle through. I think it must still be in the trial stages.

The reason I mention it is because the ones here look pretty much like the first link you posted.
