Hamas vs Israel

While I agree with you OLI that some means cannot possibly be justified by any end, I can still see ris's point of view. I can envision circumstances under which I might do unconscionable things. The circumstances would have to be extreme, certainly.
 
Oh... I completely understand ris's point of view. And that point of view is certainly shared by millions of people, as ris correctly points out. My point, which I suppose I haven't sufficiently driven home, is that that point of view is wrong, no matter what your viewpoint. There are, I believe, certain ultimate morals, and this is one of them.
 
There has to be a common baseline, be it schoolwork or terrorists/freedom fighters. Somebody has to draw the line, somewhere. The drawer of the line has to have some moral authority. Murderers have none. Generally, peaceable people who are honorable & trustworthy get that nod. That leaves out hamas & groups similar to them.
