Well, we'll be leaving early in the morning for Waimea - my son wants to celebrate his birthday with my sisters and brothers ... so ... a Happy Easter to one and all ... whether you celebrate the resurrection of Christ or the chicken that got laid by the bunny (hence the need to hide the eggs), have a safe and productive holiday weekend.

WAAAAAAAIT!!! What's this chicken that got laid by the bunny theory??

I never even knew why we hid the eggs.:eek:
 
You never heard that before? My dad used to tell that to us when we were little.

Dad: "Why does the Easter Bunny go around hiding eggs for us to find?"
Kids: *shrug*
Dad: "So nobody finds out he's been screwing a chicken!"

Ah...no wonder I didn't know....

We were Catholic. A bunny-chicken love connection wasn't allowed...And you certainly didn't talk about it :D
 
we'll eat fish, i'm atheist but my family is catholic, plus i really like fish :D
 
i'll dye eggs....
decorating eggs is an old custom associated with paganism, y'know...
then again, so is the easter bunny... and a good deal of the other stuff seen and done around easter.
and christmas...
and halloween...
and may day....

yeah. i'll shut up, now. :)
