Gonz, I don't think it has anything to do with oil for the people actually fighting the war, just for the people who set it up. If it was about liberating the Iraqis, it's too late. If it was about weapons of mass destruction, they should have been able toget the UN behind them. As I've mentioned before, it's a moot point now, but remember, Dick Cheyney's 80 million dollar buddies got the first taste of the profits. Oh, and if you don't think it was a put up job, remember, Dick got his 80 mil two years before the election. Hell, they don't even have the good grace to make it look legit.

You've just quit making sense entirely.

We invaded this country, in the midst of a little kid gets hurt, some guy has the decency to get the kid out of the way (I should hope so!), and this proves that this has nothing to do with oil?

I don't know for sure if this has anything to do with oil, but I know that picture sure isn't going to help decide the matter.

Now what's this about the Peace Corps?
 
Clearly he meant, as the thread states, that it's not "ALL about oil....". And it's not.

Does the picture prove it? Nope.

Does Dick Cheney's DEEP association with the US oil industry prove this is "all about oil"? Nope.

Does anything PROVE anything? Not yet.

BUT, this will be over at some point. A week, a month...longer? At that time, someone's gonna be right, and someones gonna be wrong.

It'll be that clear....

Or possibly ever. I can't remember who said it , but history is that version of actual events written by the winners. Cynical, I know, but so am I, and I will always believe the worst about politicians. Oh, and don't forget what business the Bush family is in.

Heh..yeah, I also remember that one, though I can't recall the author at this point either. Good one too....

I think in this case, though, it'll be pretty clear who's wrong and who's right....at least initially. Years can obscure the truth, no doubt, but with the contention in the political arena I'm pretty sure someone's gonna claim victory decisively, and it'll be awfully hard to shout down....

The only thing that photo proves is that it's not about oil, it's about grease. He's gonna buttrape that kid. Look, he's already got his pants down. He's just looking for the vaseline. Look at the expression on the kid's face. He knows what's coming. Probably the entire division is gonna have a piece of him tonight.
