How important is this?

More proof that freedom and democracy come from within and cannot be forced.

Will it change the policy? Why not...it's been a few weeks..it's time for another change.
 
YEA!!!! Forced Freedom is...well, it's freedom, but still, damnit.
 
Dude...it'll never be enough. You can stay there for decades and it'll still dissolve into chaos the moment the last foreign troops leave. Why? Because the only lasting change is the one that comes from the inside...and until Iraqis decide to make their own peace, foreign troops will be no more than a band-aid.
 
I disagree.

Military victory has achieved change. Cuttign & running has achieved nothing.

Once the Iraqi infrastructure & government are fully in place, it can become their problem. Right now, it's the Killing Fields revisited.

Every clear military victory in history has brought about drastic change. If you don't believe me, ask the Carthaginians...oops...the the Aztecs...umm, sorry...the Mayans...dayum...the Imperial Japane...the Nazi Germ...shit...well I'm sure there's somebody out there...
