Count me in that group. I could do the states and state capitals alphabetically by either state or capital as well. Can't even remember what all the capitals are anymore, but you had to know in sixth grade (alphabetically was just for me ).

That reminds me of a cute line from "King of the Hill."

Nobody will remember what a hexagon is, but if you win state, they put it on the water tower.

My wife wants me to point out that when I was a kid the elements we had to remember were: Air, Earth, Water, Fire and Ether. I pointed out that she is in fact older than I am (okay, only three months, will you stop hitting me now?)
