Rock on!!!!

:headbang:

Did you get DSL or do they have ISDN up to 256 now?

was on 128 cable, went yesterday to the offices to increase the speed to 256.

Yay for 256! :beerbang: I wish I had that kind of an upload speed, 128 on a 3200 download is just way out of whack :(

[manhug][/manhug] @ Huge... I know how you feel

yeah, good thing my ISP is always symetric :headbang:

Huge, a quality dialup is still good, is not about brute speed, it's all about response times from the hosts (when browsing common webpages).

My friend is building a house and is considering a hosting-based cable (384/768 up/down) or fractional T1 for it. Might be a good enough reason to move in with him. :headbang:

The upload kills me here (128/384). :(

mine is 1.2 mbps down.... and 256 kpbs up an upgrade for free from my service. Use to be 768 down 128 up.

Mine's 768 down 128 up. I can get the same upgrade as buttcrack, but it costs twice as much. Got T-1 at work

I've got 384/128 for around 50 bucks. Really looking hard at the 1.5/256 package for 100 though.

Yeah, something like that. I know, but we have one ISP that deals in broadband where I live. DSL, it's pretty reliable though. The cable company keeps saying they're going to, but they've been saying that for about 2 years now.

My friend was a beta-tester for cable in the city back in 1999. I got in a few months later. Man, I miss those uncapped days. I had an FTP server and I remember someone downloading 4 full ISOs. It finished in just over an hour. Now that the upload is capped, my SSH tunnels are hella slow. It sucks hairy gonads.

T3 is the way to go......anybody willing to shell out the big bucks??.

PT - That is quite expensive what you pay for your sevice.

I have 150k cable - 150k down/64k up for £17.99($28.60) / month.

If I ever get around to it the next speed I can upgrade to is 600K - Up to 600Kbps down/128Kbps up for £24.99 ($39.73).

1MB - 1024 down/256 up is £34.99 ($55.64)/ month.

All include the cable modem and free installation.

1.5 down & "up to" 256 up (more like 89 up for 42.95/mo (I own my modem)

I'm just like fury, 3 mbps down, 128 up, I pay $35/mo (split 3 ways with roommates). At work we have 1 T1 to the internet, but are buying the equipment to upgrade to 4 T1s :headbang: That will be about 6 mbps each way...at about $700/mo per T1, which is $2800 per month :retard2: I'm glad I don't pay that bill
