i've seen the movie that appears in the video, and i'd like to see it again, problem is, i don't know the name of it.

The movie clips in the "One" video:
They are from the movie "Johnny Got His Gun" which is based upon the book by Dalton Trumbo who also directed the movie in 1971. The movie is about a soldier who's arms and legs were blown away by a grenade during World War I. Metallica purchased the rights to this film to use it for the music video.

the movie is cruder than you think.

seen it. kind of sad and disturbing depending upon the scene some scared me others i felt so sorry for him. but i felt sorry for him pretty much the entire time. great movie though its difficult to find. but the book is better as always.

I read the book twice in high school. The interest level jumps tenfold when it's three in the morning and you siddenly run across the part where they all start beating the tar out of a rat.

If I remember right, I'd say it was about 2/3 flashbacks.
